Jeff grew up in a boating family, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both US Navy and USCG Veterans, who instilled the love of the ocean in him at a very young age. His first job on the water was washing boats and pumping fuel at the yacht club that his family joined in 1982, and is still a member today.   

 

After holding various roles within the marine industry, Jeff founded his own yacht brokerage firm in 2003, and earned his Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) credentials as soon as he met the requirements in 2007.  Jeff prides himself in creating long-term relationships, and assisting his clients as a trusted consultant, understanding their needs, providing personalized service and delivering in line with their expectations. 

2023 marked Jeff’s 20th year as a yacht broker and he remains fully committed to the industry. In addition to his role at Moore Yacht Sales, Jeff proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA) the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association (MMTA), is a Florida licensed Yacht & Ship Broker, and is a member of the International Yacht Broker’s Association (IYBA)

 

After joining Moore Yacht Sales in 2021, Jeff later opened the Boston Harbor office for MYS located at Charlestown Marina on Pier 8 in the historic Navy Yard. When he’s not in the office or walking the docks, Jeff can be found underway on his Boston Whaler or spending time at the family beach house in Plymouth, MA with his wife, three children and their yellow lab Finn.

Captain Phil Moore, founder of Moore Yacht Sales (est. 2018), has spent a lifetime on the water - blending his passion for boating, fishing, and client service into one of the most trusted names in Northeast yacht brokerage.

What began as a fishing hobby quickly evolved into a charter operation and a successful offshore tournament career. Captain Phil has served as a featured speaker at fishing clubs throughout the region and was a guest on George Poveromo's Saltwater Sportsman Seminar Series.

Before launching MYS, Phil was a co-founder and broker at Buzzards Bay Yacht Sales, and served as private captain aboard the 55' Viking "Andrew G". His in-depth understanding of boat design and function has made him a valued consultant for custom builds with top-tier brands including Costa Custom Boats, Yellowfin Yachts, and Viking Yachts.

An active figure in the Northeast fishing community, Phil sponsors and participates in many of the area's premier offshore and charity tournaments, including the Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic (OBBC), Big Game Battle, and Tri-State Canyon Shootout.

Outside of work, Phil is a proud girl dad, youth sports coach, and a supporter of local youth programs. Clients know him best for his honest, straightforward approach and his calm, confident presence in every deal - whether buying, selling, or building a boat.

His passion for offshore fishing began at the early age of five, setting the stage for a lifelong career in boating and sportfishing.

Ross currently lives in Noank, CT, with his wife, Allison. Over the years, he has built an impressive resume with several respected marine dealerships, including Boats Inc., Legacy Yachts, Bassett Boat Company, and Ocean House Marina. In 2023, he was recognized as **Regulator Marine’s top-grossing salesman**—a reflection of his product expertise and unwavering commitment to his clients.

In addition to his success in sales, Ross is an accomplished professional angler, competing in the "Sport Fishing Championship Series" aboard "Lights Out", a 62’ Viking that travels from Mexico to the Northeast Canyons, with plenty of tournament experience on the West Coast as well.
