1985 Custom Aluminum Barge — Sea Truck

Worldwide Yacht Sales is pleased to present Sea Truck, a commercial-grade aluminum barge originally built for the military in 1985 and fully retrofitted and customized in Louisiana in 2024 as a cargo vessel.

She has just been repowered with twin 2023 Suzuki DF300 four-stroke outboards — quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient than the previous two-strokes. Below deck, the cargo hold is refrigerated and insulated, holding about 38°F with 92°F outside, making her ideal for cold-chain freight, produce, seafood and provisioning runs. A removable 4' x 6' x 8' refrigerated box adds deck reefer capacity.

Rated for approximately 10 tons, she offers about 1,000 ft³ of below-deck storage (12 full-size pallets, just over 4' headroom). A professionally overhauled Morgan Model 80 hydraulic knuckle crane (55,000 ft-lb, 400° rotation, Braden BG6 5,000 lb winch) loads and unloads without a dock crane. The 6' x 9' climate-controlled wheelhouse has A/C, a microwave and a mini-fridge, and a 12 kW Kubota generator powers it all.

USCG documented and under 15 gross tons, she can carry cargo without the requirements of a USCG inspected vessel (buyer to verify for intended use). Great for island freight, marine construction support, dive/salvage support, aquaculture, or as a utility work boat.
