The 2020 Scout 255 Dorado is a versatile dual-console that blends family comfort with serious performance, powered by twin 150HP Yamaha outboards for a smooth, efficient ride. With Scout’s signature NuV3 hull design, this 25-footer delivers excellent handling in a variety of conditions, whether you’re cruising, entertaining, or heading offshore.
Well-appointed with premium finishes throughout, the 255 Dorado features comfortable bow seating, a spacious cockpit with convertible aft seating, and a fully equipped helm with modern electronics. The port console offers a convenient head compartment, making it ideal for all-day outings.

One of the unique innovations onboard the model is an electronic aft-facing seat that easily converts to a lounger when activated, complemented by the fold-down aft portside seat. When the seat slides out, the backrest moves into a leaning position and allows for complete comfort. Additional seating can be found with the fold-down transom bench seat, deluxe fiberglass captain’s chairs with armrests and fold-down bolsters (the portside seat can even fit two people), as well as comfortable and roomy bow seating port and starboard.

Jeff grew up in a boating family, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both US Navy and USCG Veterans, who instilled the love of the ocean in him at a very young age. His first job on the water was washing boats and pumping fuel at the yacht club that his family joined in 1982, and is still a member today.  Â

After holding various roles within the marine industry, Jeff founded his own yacht brokerage firm in 2003, and earned his Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) credentials as soon as he met the requirements in 2007.  Jeff prides himself in creating long-term relationships, and assisting his clients as a trusted consultant, understanding their needs, providing personalized service and delivering in line with their expectations.Â
2023 marked Jeff’s 20th year as a yacht broker and he remains fully committed to the industry. In addition to his role at Moore Yacht Sales, Jeff proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA) the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association (MMTA), is a Florida licensed Yacht & Ship Broker, and is a member of the International Yacht Broker’s Association (IYBA)

After joining Moore Yacht Sales in 2021, Jeff later opened the Boston Harbor office for MYS located at Charlestown Marina on Pier 8 in the historic Navy Yard. When he’s not in the office or walking the docks, Jeff can be found underway on his Boston Whaler or spending time at the family beach house in Plymouth, MA with his wife, three children and their yellow lab Finn.
